Liz became a much valued long-term supporter of our small charity after seeing Professor Alice Roberts on Mastermind in 2012, where she mentioned For Ethiopia as her chosen charity. Liz got in touch with us and, from then on, became a remarkable fundraiser and friend of our work.
A creative fundraiser with so many ideas of how to encourage people to give money and make it fun: Crafts, village shows, fruit & vegetables, painting, photography, auctions, and so much more!
She was a human dynamo, tirelessly putting in energy and hard work to all she did. She was sociable and enthusiastic in motivating others. She was modest and unassuming wanting no credit or thanks for herself and always thinking of the next event.
We valued her support and her example as much as the funds she raised.
Her contribution and commitment continue to make a real difference in the lives of young people in Ethiopia.
We are placing a photo of her in our corridor of fame in our training centre, Prudence House, Addis Alem, where her contribution will be remembered.
Liz, we applaud you and will not forget you.
