Small but Significant
On Friday 4th October, for the first time, we hosted a networking event for small UK charities who work in Ethiopia on the occasion of our 15th Birthday. In the morning we worked hard. We had a presentation from Fergus Thomas of DFID (the Government Department for International Development) and then discussed topics of common interest in small groups, before a question-and-answer session. At the end of the morning, Ato Mekonen, a representative of the Ethiopian Embassy in London, addressed us, telling us about the climate of change in Ethiopia and new legislation concerning charities working in the country.
