The Underhill Secondary Scholarship Scheme continues to be a great success, currently there are
- 8 girls who have enrolled for grade 12,
- 7 girls in grade 11
- 9 girls in grade 10.
New girls who passed their grade 8 exams will be selected to join grade 9 will be selected. Last years delayed grade 12 exams are in progress. We are committed to continue our support to girls all the way to higher education and dedicated our forthcoming fundraiser towards this (see below).
It is approaching the end of the calendar year and like most charities we are on our end of year fundraising and planning for 2022. We have two big fundraising events coming up between now and Christmas, and of course our lovely Christmas cards for sale.
Our online giving platform has now changed to Just Giving. Our decision on this platform was based on its longevity in the market, it is a recognised and trusted brand and invests in the technology needed to keep your details secure when you make a donation. We will be monitoring the new set up, but please let us know of any difficulties when using this platform.

The Big Give
We are delighted to have qualified for The Big Give Christmas Challenge 21 this year which will launch on #GivingTuesday. From 12pm on 30th November our campaign page on the Big Give will open allowing donations to be made. Each donation will have twice the impact as it will be match funded by a number of individuals who have pledged to support us and by our Champion pledger Ethiopiaid. We are very honoured to be selected by Ethiopiaid as one of their recipients this year. We are hoping to raise £3000 over the week which will be doubled by our pledgers to £6000. if we reach the full target. The donation window will close at 12pm on the 6th December. Please save the date, we will send out the link once the page goes live on the 30th November.
