For Ethiopia is dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people, especially rural girls and vulnerable groups of children, in the Ejerie region of Ethiopia.

Vision

Our vision is a future where all children have access to quality education and holistic wellbeing support that empowers them to thrive, have hope, pursue diverse career opportunities, and achieve financial independence.

Mission

Our mission focuses on delivering comprehensive programs that improve access to education, enhance learning quality and inclusivity, promote health and wellbeing (including menstrual health and dignity), and support sustainable livelihoods through scholarships, mentorships, learning hubs, health campaigns, vocational training, and financial support.

Education

We support rural girls through secondary school, help young people access higher and vocational education, provide hardship assistance in primary schools, and ensure children with SEND can learn with specialist support.

Holistic Wellbeing

We promote health and wellbeing, including menstrual health and dignity for girls, through targeted school-based campaigns and services.

Our Legacy in Health, Water & Sanitation

Since 2004, we’ve provided safe water and improved sanitation to over 5,000 people by constructing wells, capping springs, and building toilet blocks. We’ve also equipped local health posts with essential medical supplies and delivered WASH training. While our focus is now on education, we continue to advocate for better health outcomes in these communities.

Our Story

We are a small but impactful charity with over 20 years of proven success in transforming the lives of rural girls and young women in the Ejerie region of Ethiopia. Watch our video to find out more about our work.
