Sarah Shedden is running the Virgin London Marathon on 22 April 2012 and is raising money for two charities close to her heart:
The London Marathon also gives me the opportunity to raise some money for two very good causes.
The first charity that I am supporting is Naomi House. Naomi House helps to relieve the pressures faced by families caring for a very sick child who won’t live to become an adult. They offer a range of ways to help children with life limiting conditions, and their families, to enjoy precious time together at Naomi House. I am very lucky in that I have three healthy children and I would like to run to help kids who are not as fortunate with their health.
The second charity that I have chosen to support is For-Ethiopia, a charity working towards improving living standards in Ethiopia. We were delighted when our new niece, Hannah, a little girl adopted from Ethiopia, became part of our family. She is lucky as she will be brought up within a loving family and be well educated. There are thousands of Ethiopian children who are not so fortunate.
