The Bradgate team with Dr Alice Roberts

The team looking confident before the race

Sunday 25th September

On a wet Sunday last week, a team from Bradgate Surgery including For-ethiopia patron Dr Alice Roberts, turned out to race Dragon Boats at Baltic Wharf in Bristol.

Racing in three heats their best time was only five seconds off the fastest and they came 14th out of 19 teams. Not bad for a first attempt as many of the teams had raced before! Dr Jason Victory was quick to suggest they ‘would do better next year’, the rest of the team were not so quick to comment!

The team collected sponsorship for the event and so far over £2,200 (including Giftaid) has been raised which will go towards installing a solar refrigerator in another clinic in Ethiopia.

All the Trustees of For-ethiopia wish to thank all involved and look forward to next year!
