On 8th June, the Long Ashton Orchestra played a concert for us in St Albans Church, Westbury Park.

The highlight was Prokofiev’s First piano concerto, with a wonderful professional soloist, who gave her services free and wishes to remain anonomous. The orchestra performed other works, including Tchaiovsky, with great skill and panache, and both audience and orchestra took a great interest in our work – and donated most generously.

Our big thanks to all the orchestra, especially Penny Carter and Lois Philips, who invited us.
